To save us all some hassle, I thought I'd give you a brief run-down on who I am, and what you can expect from my journal.


I'm unemployed (but actively searching) after spending 2.5 years getting my Master of Library Science and Master of Information Science degrees. Most of my recent entries will probably revolve around the job hunting process (mainly bitching about it, like you do).

I have views that tend to be very liberal. However, I realize that these are simply my opinions and I believe that everyone has a right to their own opinions and convictions. All I ask is that you think for yourself.

Use netspeak and there's no chance. Sorry. Well, unless you're a special case. ♥

I listen to an eclectic mix of music. Everything from Tchaikovsky to the Carpenters, John Denver to Def Leppard. My current favourite bands include Enter the Haggis, Flogging Molly, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, and Radiohead. I go through phases, so my other favourites change constantly. The only kind of music I really don't like is bubblegum pop.

I'm a literary geek. I read a lot, for fun, and enjoy being around other people who do the same. I'm also very interested in history and learning languages, as one would never guess from my academic choices. :)

As a fair warning, if new episodes of Doctor Who are on, I'm going to discuss them. A lot. I don't tend to fangirl many shows, but those I do, I fangirl hard.

If you haven't been frightened, friend away! I'm really quite easy about friending people, and not nearly as snotty or aloof as I come across.

Oh wow that is frightening, I can't see the little blinky thing in the box, but I can write so woot. Anyway, I just wanted to say hi, and hello and I love your icon, even if I am one of the sorry folk that hasn't seen Peter Pan yet because my friends are evil or something. I think that is all for now, just wanted to say hi and yes, I went over this already. Oh and this is Susie by the way, in case you weren't sure or something.
